Follow Friday (14)

Is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This is a blog hop for bloggers to get to know other bloggers, & to help some gain more of a following and support system for their blog. It looks like it should be a lot of fun. To join in, go to the host's page and follow the steps they have posted up there. =D

This week's question is...

Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

I usually only read one book at a time. Not saying that I haven't read two or more at a time before, but I find I just enjoy reading just one, taking it, seeing how it affects me and what I take out of that one book. That way I can really write an honest and true review on it and not accidentally miss in some of my feelings for one of the books into the one I am reviewing. Just makes it easier for me. =D (If that made any sense).

How many book(s) do you read at a time?

I love reading books one at a time too! I understand what you meant. But sometimes I do read 2 books at time if I'm bored of it or if I need to.

@Aai: Yea, I have read more then one at a time before. I just prefer one at a time. Easier for me to just concentrate on that one book and truly give it the best review that I can. =D Thankies. I'll check yours out now.

Me too! If I start more than one book it can get confusing, plus it seems to take me longer to finish either of them then had I just stuck to one. New follower:)

Notes save me! I write notes even if I'm not reading more than one book at a time. Sometimes they are super cryptic notes and I have to refer back (ie page number with one or two words) but it keeps me on track!

Thanks for stopping by LIO!

I totally agree. Sometimes I'll miss a few details because I read through books really quickly and then post up a review ASAP or schedule one since usually I only like to do one post a day and I have basically all the days filled up every week with memes, and book and song reviews. So I need to read one book at a time to concentrate on it and write an appropriate review for it. :) That's why I use Goodreads status updates; so I can keep track of what I'm reading.

Thanks for following me! I'm following back! I love your blog background, it's so pretty!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm following you now too!

I think that since the author spent so much time and attention writing their book, I should give give equal attention and time to reading it. IDK that's just me

@Heather: Yea, I've done it before, but now a days I just don't like reading multiple books at once.

@Amanda: That is a good way to. If there is something really good in a book that I would like to reference back to I will book mark it myself.

@Rachel: Thank you. I do rather like it myself. =D

@Eileen: Yea. Even after I am done reading a book, I take a few days before writing the review. That way I can really think about what I took out of that book. What I liked about it and what I didn't. Makes it easier for me to do a good review on it. I also use goodreads to keep track of my books. Thank you. I like the background, its so pretty and girly. Prolly the only place I have anything girly. LOL

@It's a Hard Cover Life: I totally agree. As a writer myself I understand how hard it is to write a book (a completed, published book at that). =D

Thank you all for the wonderful comments.
