I am currently reading A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies. So far it is an okay book but for the life of me I just can't seem to love it like I would like. And the book cover is starting to annoy me a little. LOL. I keep looking at it and keeping finding more little things that I just don't like about it (when I first saw it I used to love it xD). The love interests in this book seem extremely fake, like it just doesn't fit right for me. I don't see any true feelings or emotions between them (the 2 boys + 1 girl = love triangle gone wrong). I still have about 100 pages to go so I am hoping it will start to pick up from here. But at this point it's no more then a 3 star book for me.
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently finished reading Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer. It was the final book in the Nightshade Series. I really enjoyed most of the book. Even though there were parts that made me really hate Calla (our heroine) the other characters in the book made up for what she lacked in character (*cough*cheater*cough*). That is until the end of the book. The ending of this series REALLY REALLY REALLY and I am REALLY annoyed me. I almost wanted to throw the book at the wall. How do you take us on a 3 book journey and end the book like that. And the epilogue isn't even told from the POV of Calla (the main character), it's told from a secondary character's POV. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT CHARACTERS POV AT THE END OF THE SERIES!!!! I want the main characters POV at the ending of a series, I mean really dude... really?
What do you think you'll read next?
Next I am supposed to read Tiger's Quest by Colleen Houck, but I just don't feel like reading it yet, so instead I am going to read Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I have read so many good reviews on this book and one of my co-workers absolutely loved this book, so I am hoping that I will enjoy it as much. I have wanted to read it for a while, and a cyborg retelling of Cinderella, how can that not be interesting?
My Little Girl - Tim McGraw
